Garam Masala started with three friends and a shared love for late-night hangouts over chai. Back in India, we spent countless evenings at a cozy café that stayed open late a place that felt like home. When we moved to Adelaide for our higher studies, we missed that kind of spot. While there were plenty of local cafés during the day, there weren’t many cozy places to unwind at night. So we created Garam Masala — a café and restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Indian street food, hearty meals, and soul-soothing chai in a warm, welcoming space. It’s more than just food —it’s a place to relax, connect, and feel at home.
